You can ask as many questions as you like to clear your doubts about the trip.
Then, we will go on a day trip to explore the charming temples and monuments of the lovely capital. Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square will be our main destinations for today’s visit.
We advise you to retire early as we have to fly to Lukla very early tomorrow morning.
We will depart to TIA for an early morning flight to Lukla town- the main transit point for all trekkers heading to the Khumbu region. You will certainly be captivated by the views of snow-capped peaks of Kanchenjunga and Everest from the porthole window and the unusualness of landing at a high-altitude airfield. The majestic Mount Kongde Ri (6187 m) rises before your eyes as you land at the legendary Tenzing-Hilary Airport.
At the airport, we will meet our experienced mountain guide and a team of local Sherpas who will help us carry our equipment. We will then briefly rest and explore this tourist-friendly Sherpa town.
Then, we will start our trek to Phakding, which will be very short and easy, intended more as an aid in the acclimatization process. First, we will move along a long forest belt, then fairly steeply descend to the Dudh Koshi River.
At the border of the Lukla village, our guide will obtain the Sagarmatha National Park and Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality permits for us. Then, we will pass the settlements of Chheplung, Chaurikhark, and Thadokoshi, enjoying the beautiful panorama of Mount Khumbila (5761 m).
At Thadokoshi, we can see the fleeting view of Mount Kusum Kangaru (6367m). Hiking forward, we will pass by the huge boulders carved with the Buddhist Mantra om mani padme hum. We will climb down till we reach Ghat at 2550 meters. From here on, we will walk along the eastern shore of the Dudh Koshi River till we arrive at Phakding – our overnight destination for a tasty dinner and a comfortable night.
Attention
In the event of high air traffic and unfavorable weather, the direct Kathmandu-Lukla flight is often redirected to Ramechhap/Manthali Airport. In such a case, we will drive to the Ramechhap/Manthali Airport for four hours and fly to Lukla Airport, which we will reach in about 20 minutes.
We will resume our hike along the high mountain route by crossing the Dudh Koshi River Valley to Namche Bazaar. We will pass through a forest filled with tall Nepalese rhododendrons and reach Benkar. After crossing the mountain stream, we will ascend along the gorge to reach Monjo and enter the land of Everest National Park.
A short climb from here will lead us to Jorsalle, which is the perfect site for our lunch. As we resume our walk after lunch, we will arrive at the confluence of Dudh Koshi River and Bhote Koshi River within 30 to 40 minutes. An iconic Hilary suspension bridge appears in front of us, which offers the beautiful spectacle of Mount Taboche at 6495 m.
We will now walk uphill for about one hour and arrive at Top Danda at 3140 m. This is the best vantage point, also known as Everest Viewpoint, which bestows us with unimaginable views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and many more.
We will now overcome a vertical climb for a while to reach Namche, known for the grandeur spectacle of Everest, Thamserku, Kangtega, Nuptse, Lhotse, and many other beautiful surrounding mountains.
The final leg of our trip has arrived when we will climb to Hotel Everest View for about 2 to 3 hours. The uphill trail to the hotel is easy and very romantic, offering us the incredible panorama of Kongde ri, Khangtega, Pachermo Peak, Tangerito Peak, Samdo Peak, and many others.
Finally, we will be at the terrace of the hotel, where we will enjoy our coffee or lunch, surrounding ourselves with Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Lhotse, Taboche, Cholatse, and Nuptse.
After we imprint these views in our memory, we will go to the hotel helipad, where our helicopter will come to fly us back to Lukla. Enjoy once more the grandest spectacle you might never find anywhere else.
We will fly to Lukla early in the morning to be in the center of the urban civilization of Kathmandu once more. You will have free time to enjoy the luxury this city has to offer.
It’s time to say goodbye to Nepal and drive to TIA for a return flight home.
We also operated private trips.
The months of April and May (Spring) are the best time to go for our luxury Everest View short trek since it is not so cold and the views are clearer. You will have more opportunities to see the summit and enjoy your walk in the enchanting landscape of Khumbu. The weather will be good in March, but it will still be a little colder.
The monsoon hits harder in June and lasts until August, so the next good season to go is from September to November (Autumn). There is a window between the rainy season and winter in these months.
A week-long tour of luxury Everest View will take us to the maximum elevation of 3880 m above sea level at Hotel Everest View. The hotel is 138 km far from Kathmandu, only 14.6 km from Lukla, and only 5.4 km from Namche Bazaar. The highest elevation of our overnight destination is 3440 m at Namche Bazaar.
Our 7-day luxury Everest View short trek incorporates only three days of actual hiking journey when we will walk for 5 to 10 km along the fascinating route of Sagarmatha National Park. The most rewarding walk will be on the last day of our trek on day 5 when we walk for 2 to 3 hours to reach the Hotel Everest View. We will trek for 5 to 6 hours as we move from Phakding to Namche Bazaar.
The luxury Everest View short trek is one of the easiest and shortest trek available in the Khumbu region of Nepal. It is suitable for trekking enthusiasts who can spend 4-5 hours on the road each day carrying a light backpack.
However, hiking in high areas requires better physical preparation than hiking in lowlands. We can easily cope with this trek if we have excellent health and average physical fitness, a positive attitude, self-confidence, and a strong will.
Additionally, our expert team has designed this trip with a concentration on proper acclimatization so even ordinary or common travelers can enjoy this trip without any complexity. For the acquaintance with the Nepali atmosphere, we will spend a day in Kathmandu. From Lukla to Namche Bazaar, we will walk moderately for minimal hours. We will spend a night at Namche, and the next day, we will return to Lukla.
The luxury Everest View Short Trek is the one that is ideal for beginners, children, and senior citizens. One for the fact that the entire trip lacks major elevations, with the highest altitude to reach being only 3880 m at Hotel Everest View. The hiking duration is only three days, and the route is a real hiking paradise for anyone who likes to go straight ahead. The trail is also well-marked with gentle climbs and descents at Phakding and Namche Bazaar.
The accommodations are also comfortable till Namche, with good amenities such as a hot shower, charging, WIFI, and good food. However, participants with pre-existing health conditions, such as heart, lung, or blood disease, must notify us before starting the journey.
This is one of the most straightforward journeys you can ever take in Nepal, for which no special preparation or training session is required. Any person with a moderate fitness level can undertake this trip easily. Still, we will be trekking on a high-altitude mountain route for about three days, so following a moderate regime will not hurt.
We advise you to start running and brisk walking in hilly terrain twice a week at least 2 to 3 months before departure. These will strengthen your health and endurance.
Altitude sickness is of little concern in our luxury Everest View short trek, as you will be hiking for only three days. In addition, we have planned minimal walking hours during the trek so your body has time to adapt to high-altitude air. However, we will be transitioning from the lowland of 1300 m elevation to 2800 m elevation at the mountain climate of Lukla.
The next two days will be spent at an elevation of more than 3000 m, so the occurrence of milder symptoms is normal. Headaches, dizziness, loss of sleep and appetite, and nausea are some common occurrences among travelers, and they usually subside on their own within 48 hours.
You can take Diamox to relieve the symptoms within a few hours so you can fully focus on the trip.
We will use two types of accommodation during the luxury Everest View short trek. We will spend three nights in a three-star hotel in Kathmandu with a twin sharing room. We can also upgrade your stay to make it more luxurious and private. Please let us know what you like when booking this trip with us.
During the trek, we will spend all nights in comfortable lodges or tea houses that are tastefully decorated and have rooms with comfortable beds and private bathrooms.
In Kathmandu, we offer only breakfast, while during the trek, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are offered with fresh seasonal fruits after dinner. During the entire trip, we will be able to enjoy local Nepalese cuisine and dishes from around the world (Tibetan cuisine, Italian, continental, and Indian) – from pizza and French fries to apple pie.
Regarding transportation, we offer airport pick-up and drop-off services by private car. Our company will provide a private car, tour guide, and driver for the exclusive Kathmandu sightseeing tour.
Our program cost includes your aerial transfer via domestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla to Kathmandu and a helicopter ride from Hotel Everest View to Lukla.
Enjoy flawless communication, gadget charging, and internet service during our trip. The local mobile networks of NTC and NCELL provide good coverage all over the Khumbu region of Nepal.
NEA (Nepal Electricity Association) has now provided a continuous supply of electricity throughout Nepal. You can easily charge your electrical gadgets throughout your trip. From Lukla, you may have to pay an extra price to charge your power banks and mobile and camera batteries.
The Everest Link provides pre-paid WIFI services in the Everest region. You can purchase these cards in any of your accommodations. The lodges also provide wifi services with or without extra service charge.
A Khumbu Rural Municipality Permit and Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit are essential for our luxury Everest View short trek. Our tour guide will obtain these permits for you in the last village of Lukla town.
Our trip costs USD 2299 per person only, which includes all your logistics from the accommodation, transportation, food, and permit costs.
Yes, if you like, you can go further to Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar, and Gokyo Lakes by helicopter at additional cost.
Yes, insurance is a great way to relieve yourself from the financial burden that may occur when traveling in a foreign country. Your Lukla flight may get canceled, your luggage may get lost, and you may need to stay for a few extra days. In such cases, your insurance will play a vital role in reducing your financial stress. In addition, your insurance should cover helicopter rescue and evacuation to an altitude of more than 3000 m.
Regarding luggage, only up to 10 kg are allowed on domestic flights, plus 5 kg of hand luggage. During the trekking, luggage is carried by porters. We recommend packing the luggage you need during the trek in a smaller travel bag, a backpack, or a duffel bag; the porters will then transport this piece of luggage. The remaining luggage can be deposited in Kathmandu. Please note that the porter cannot carry more than 20 kg. He carries the bags of 2 people each, which means your trekking bag must not weigh more than 10 kg.
