Ang Gombu Sherpa is one of the most qualified and experienced trekking, peak climbing, and expedition guides for Hill Sherpa Trekking Private Limited. With over 15 years of actual experience in working Nepal’s mountains, Ang Gombu has led many clients safely through some of the most challenging regions of the Himalayas.

He has summited mt. Ama Dablam (6,812 m) and Island Peak, and Lobuche Peak more than 20 times together. His famous mountaineering record also includes various ascents of Mera Peak, Pachermo Peak, Pisang Peak, Tent Peak, Larkya Peak, Yala Peak, and Putha Hiunchuli (7,246 m).

Ang Gombu completed formal mountaineering training with the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) and completed guiding certification from the Nepal Tourism Board in Kathmandu. He is also certified in first aid, rock climbing, ice climbing, and basic mountaineering techniques and cook training by (TAAN) Trekking agency association of Nepal.

Despite having experienced every major trekking route in Nepal, Gombu has a particular fondness for Mt. Ama Dablam, where and when he has led multiple successful expeditions. He makes every trip memorable and safe with his extensive knowledge guide in the Himalaya, and his unparalleled customer service.

Besides guiding, Gombu is also an accomplished cook, able to prepare a wide variety of foods, ranging from traditional Nepali cuisine, Indian dishes, and dishes to suit European tastes, especially on remote treks.
