Hello, I’m Mukund, a technologist and angel investor from India who is now residing in the US. My love affair with mountains began with a life-altering trek to Nepal and Tibet in 2012 and 2013. Travelling did not only open my eyes to other countries and cultures, it led to increased sense of Zen-like calm and ignited a burning desire to explore the Himalayas and the start of my spiritual journey and self awareness.

Some of the deepest and most generous philosophies in the world have their origin in Himalaya region. Nature with its magnificence here makes you wonder on your position in the universe. When we gaze upon the imposing heights of the Himalayas we are insignificant inhabitants of one tiny dot of planet Earth, which is feeling the narcotic nature of Carl Sagan described as the pale blue dot.

Adventures have not only meant travelling around; they have led to some meaningful, long-term friendships. Hiking with Nepal with the legendary Pasang Sherpa, ang Dendi Sherpa, and his crew, I have spent lots of hours talking and joking around and have grown to be closely connected with these unique individuals and have transformed them into close life-long friends and brothers. It is through these bonds that I have my heart rooted to the Sherpas and Nepal hence I was motivated to channel funds to this superb venture.

I have an enthusiasm that all people must at least once in their lifetime be at the Himalayas to experience the magic of this mountain. The mind blowing beauty, the high mountains, stony paths, peaceful valleys are not something to gaze at but something that will take you to a journey and change your soul. The warmth of the Sherpa, the delicious local Momo, the spiritual feeling in the air, the feeling of adventure and the charge of adrenaline all these things are unique and inimitable propositions of the Himalayas. And what other people are as qualified to lead you through this magical place as they people of the highest altitude, but at the same time most loving people the world has to offer, the Sherpas?
