This is your day. You may not be able to fly because of the weather, or you could have trouble at high altitudes. You may take advantage of the additional day when that occurs. That’s why we made the Hill Sherpa Trek flexible, so you can enjoy every minute of it.
We also operate private trips.
No, beginners should not attempt the 14-day Everest Three High Passes Trek. You need to have at least some prior trekking experience in order to complete the Three Pass trek with ease. Novices who are not accustomed to the harsh climate and environment of Nepal’s highlands are always advised to steer clear of this trek.
On a scale of 1 to 10, we would give this trek a strong 7 because experienced hikers view it as moderately challenging.
Since the weather is ideal for visiting most places, including Nepal’s highlands, there are a lot of trekkers and tourists in the country during the fall and spring seasons. The lack of rain and sunny skies are some of the benefits of these seasons. But it can be a bit cloudy when monsoon is near in spring season.
These seasons have plenty of festivities that you can join if you are timely. Do not hesitate to join, the locals will receive you and permit you to engage in the colorful festivals.
You shouldn’t go during the summer and also the winter season. During the summer season, it is a bit too hot for you to trek during the day. It’s not completely impossible, it can be done but you’ll be really sweaty and tired at the end of the day.
On the same note, winter is not without disadvantages. Too much snow and dramatic drops in temperature make it harder for you to trek the trails. Add to this the fact that portions of the trail are difficult to walk as they are and the snowfall adds to their difficulty.
Lukla is usually where most trekking excursions in the Khumbu region start. Lukla can be reached in a number of ways. Either take a plane straight from Kathmandu to Lukla, or take a jeep to a settlement further down the Solukhumbu Valley near Lukla village and hike there. Flying is faster and easier, but it’s also more expensive and subject to weather related cancellations and delays.
If you have a few more days and want a more authentic experience, you can start your journey further into the Valley. You can see the stunning peak of Pikey and discover less-visited communities while saving money by choosing to trek to Lukla rather than take a plane.
The Everest Three High Pass Trek 14 days, is a strenuous activity that requires exceptional physical fitness. For this type of route, it is recommended that you have some prior experience hiking and climbing at elevation. Due to the freezing temperatures and rough terrain, you will require specialized equipment such as gaiters, an ice axe, and ski poles.
With daily ascents of roughly 1,200 meters and the potential to trek over 4,500 meters, trekking sessions will last six to nine hours (or longer). If you’re up for a challenge or are confident that you can complete an exciting adventure, you should consider going on this kind of trip.
One of the worst things that can happen to hikers who travel to the high Himalayan regions is altitude sickness. It is possibly the worst thing because it can force you to immediately abandon your journey, and it can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, or level of experience. To combat this, we will divide the lengthy journey into manageable daily treks and ensure that we travel at a safe pace.
You can enjoy breathtaking views from the Everest View, which is 3,380m, and Namche Bazaar if the acclimatization day is at least.
Accommodation in this region is not the same as you would get in the cities, which is obvious. You will be staying in tea houses that are owned by the locals of the village. If there are any particular accommodation requests, please make sure that you let us know before the start of the trek. We will try to make it happen to the best of our abilities. Accommodation in these Himalayan regions is simple twin-sharing rooms with shared bathrooms and a common dining area.
In the vicinity of Everest, food and beverages are also lacking. As we go higher up the valley, you will discover that the variety of food also decreases. Transporting food items to these far-flung and easily inaccessible areas is really a challenge, and therefore, you will be provided with only the bare minimum of food and drinks. However, you will be able to enjoy lots of varieties at Namche Bazaar.
You must travel many miles on four-wheelers because this is a lengthy trip. For example, in order to catch a flight to Lukla, we need to get to the airport. At the beginning and end of the trek, we will also provide transportation to and from Kathmandu’s international airport.
A Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit, which is available in Kathmandu and at the very end of Lukla, is required to complete the Everest Three Pass Trek. Additionally, you will need the Solukhumbu Regional Permit, which is only accessible in Lukla or Monjo village.
We strongly advise you to work out for at least a few months prior to the start of the trek because it is a difficult one. The best thing you can do before starting this amazing and exciting journey is to be in good physical condition.
Only the first section of the route is an alternate route for this trek. Essentially, you have the option of taking a 4-wheeler for a longer journey or flying to Lukla, the trek’s starting point. This alternate route will take you to the village of Lukla after a few miles of road travel and a short hike.
As an alternative, you can continue on the already lengthy Three Pass Trek by visiting the Gokyo lakes.
You can take full advantage of the basic amenities, such as electricity, because this trek mostly follows the route of the EBC trek’s main trail. You don’t need to be concerned about running out of electricity to charge your gadgets. You may occasionally experience power outages, though.
Most of your trekking-related costs are covered by our Everest Three Pass Trek, but there are some things that our package does not cover.
