Lhotse (8,516 m/27,940 ft), Mt. Nuptse (7,861 m/25,791 ft), etc.

Apart from the gigantic mountains, the beautiful Gokyo Lakes (4,700 m–5,000 m) and the lovely village of Gokyo are among the major attractions of the trek. Having a day remaining for acclimatization, your body will be able to replenish some of its energy. The regained energy will push us forward towards our day’s destination, Dole Village. We shall use the same trail as on the Everest Base Camp trek to get to Sanesa village. Then, we shall have Phortse Thanga village via Mongla danda, totally diverging from the main EBC path.

Gokyo lakes and Renjo la pass trek to Dole Village will be really tough for we have to travel with constant uphill and downhill roads. We will also go around the holy mountain of Khumbila. The trekking at a high altitude will be hard on your body, but you will be greeted by a stunning view of surrounding valleys and mountains upon your arrival in Dole Village.

Do remember that at this point in your hike you will observe a serious lack of modern convenience.

While we will see to it that we provide you with simple facilities in your accommodation we cannot guarantee you all the services that you want. You should understand that owing to the inaccessibility of the area, many facilities and services cannot make it here.

Any lengthy trek can be extremely challenging given the altitude. It’s also difficult to navigate the upcoming trails. Therefore, Machhermo, which is just a few hours away from Dole, will be our destination for today.

Although the journey to Machhermo is brief, it will primarily be uphill. The hike to Gokyo Lakes becomes considerably more challenging as a result. The next stop is far beyond our comfort zone, even if you wish to go on.

Like Dole, Machhermo is a small village. We’ll spend the next few days getting used to this village. For acclimatization, we can also ascend a little higher before spending the night back in the village.
