The terrain gets steeper and rougher as it goes up along ridgelines and open slopes from Low Camp. As you go, you’ll see more and more beautiful views of Machapuchare, Annapurna South, Himalchuli, and the peaks around them. High Camp is in a beautiful alpine setting, and you can see the mountains in all their glory at sunrise and sunset. This is an important night to get used to the new environment before the base camp trip the next day. Stay the night at High Camp.
The best part of the trek is the early morning hike to the Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4,500 meters. You can see Machapuchare (Fishtail), Annapurna South, Himalchuli, and Mardi Himal from all sides. After taking pictures and enjoying the view, go back down to Low Camp to spend the night.
